Frequently asked questions
The answers we give in a scoping call.
Everything clients ask before, during, and after a build with Apex AI: builds start with the product shape stage, clients own the code, repositories, and infrastructure, and launch begins an operate-and-improve loop rather than ending the work. The full answers are below, grouped the way people ask them.
01 / Engagements
How a build with us actually runs
Q.01How does a build with Apex AI start?
A build starts with a scoping conversation about the workflow, not a proposal deck.
You bring the process that is costing your team hours every week. We map the user, the data, and the constraint, then come back with a fixed scope and a price you can say yes or no to — the first formal stage is product shape, and nothing gets designed before it. Start the conversation on our contact page.
Q.02What does the product shape stage deliver?
Product shape delivers a written definition of the user, the workflow, the value, the data, the pricing path, and the launch scope — before a single screen gets designed.
It is the stage that keeps the business model attached to the software. When product shape is done, everyone can point at the same document and say what the product is, who pays for it, and what version one must do.
Q.03What are the typical stages of an Apex AI engagement?
An engagement moves through four stages: product shape, build system, AI capability, and revenue layer.
Product shape defines what gets built. Build system stands up GitHub, Vercel, clean domains, preview URLs, and a working rollback. AI capability adds agents, structured workflows, document handling, dashboards, and automation. Revenue layer connects marketing pages, onboarding, payment flows, sales routing, support, and analytics. Stages are sized to the scope in front of us, not to a calendar we promised before we understood the work.
Q.04Who owns the code, the repos, and the infrastructure?
You do. The code, the GitHub repositories, and the infrastructure accounts belong to the client.
We build in accounts you control or transfer everything at launch — source, history, domains, DNS, and deployment configuration. Ownership is not a negotiation at the end of the engagement; it is the default from the start.
Q.05What happens after launch?
Launch is where the operate-and-improve loop starts, not where the engagement ends.
We can operate the product through miOS — verification, memory, cadence checks, and a trail of proof for every change — or hand the whole system to your team. Either way you keep the history and the rollback. The compounding effect of that loop is what our ROI page measures.
02 / The products
What miOS, AutoScope, and WriteWell do
Q.06What is miOS, and who is it for?
miOS is the operating layer where AI work lives: agent workspaces, durable memory, browser control, messaging, deployments, and proof of work.
It is built for teams that run real operations with agents and need to see what happened without hunting through tabs. miOS is the layer under everything we ship — our own operations run on it first.
Q.07Who is AutoScope for?
AutoScope is for independent dealerships and auto groups that run their own marketing.
It reads inventory feeds, ad performance, search visibility, review velocity, and lead flow, and returns a ranked daily action list with the reason each item surfaced — the next action, not another report. AutoScope runs as hosted SaaS with per-store accounts.
Q.08Where does WriteWell work?
WriteWell works inside the applications a team already types in — no new tab, no paste-and-return.
It drafts, corrects inline, holds a consistent voice across a team, and shows you every change before it lands. If your team types in it daily, WriteWell can meet them there.
03 / Technical
The stack, the hosting, and your data
Q.09What stack does Apex AI build on, and why?
We build on Cloudflare, GitHub, and Vercel, operated through miOS — the infrastructure stays simple so the products can move fast.
Cloudflare carries domains, DNS, redirects, SSL, and protection. GitHub is the source of truth with history, issues, and rollback. Vercel serves the websites, SaaS fronts, dashboards, and previews. The full approach is on our AI development page.
Q.10Where do the products get hosted?
Products are hosted on Vercel behind your own domain, with DNS and protection on Cloudflare and source of truth in GitHub.
Every build ships with preview URLs, environment controls, and a working rollback, so a bad release is a revert, not an incident.
Q.11How is AI capability added — and is a human reviewing it?
AI capability is added as agents and structured workflows, with human review wired in wherever the outcome matters.
Agents handle document processing, dashboards, and automation; consequential steps route through a person before they land. The goal is software your team can trust on a Tuesday afternoon, not a demo that impresses once.
Q.12How is our data handled?
Your data is governed by the product agreements you sign.
Data lives in accounts and infrastructure you own, access is scoped per engagement, and every product ships with the same ownership default as the code: it is yours.
04 / Working with us
Pricing philosophy and the group behind us
Q.13Why fixed scope instead of hourly billing?
Fixed scope beats hourly drift because you are buying an outcome, not renting attention.
Hourly billing rewards the meter, not the result. A scoped stage has a definition of done, a price, and a deliverable you can inspect — which is also what makes the return measurable. We show the math on our ROI page.
Q.14Can Apex AI build the payments part of my product?
Payment products are built and operated by Apex Pay, a sibling company under Apex Intelligence AI Inc.
We design your product so the payment layer slots in cleanly, then bring Apex Pay in for checkout, billing, and money movement. One group, two specialists, one accountable roadmap.
